The Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE) created the BankOn program to meet the needs of consumers who don’t have a basic transaction account because they lack the funds to meet a minimum balance requirement, distrust financial institutions, can’t manage high or unpredictable fees, lack identification, or have credit or banking history problems.
Fidelity Bank BankOn is a low-cost checking account for consumers who have either never banked with a financial institution or are trying to re-establish a banking relationship. It can be opened with multiple owners. Trusts are not eligible to have a Fidelity Bank BankOn account.
This account is a good transition into banking for someone who has never had an account with a financial institution or for someone who is trying to re-establish a banking relationship.
