Fidelity Bank Supports Paxton Community Garden and Learning Greenhouse Project

$10,000 grant will help create educational space for students and community members
September 2026

(Leominster, Mass.) Fidelity Bank has provided a $10,000 grant through its Charitable Endowment to the Paxton Garden Club in support of its new Community Garden & Learning Greenhouse project. The initiative will create a welcoming community space for hands-on learning, sustainable gardening and connection among students, families and residents of all ages.

“We’re proud to support the Paxton Garden Club as they bring this thoughtful vision for the community to life,” said Sean O’Connell, President of Fidelity Bank. “Projects like this demonstrate what can happen when local organizations identify an opportunity to bring people together, expand access to learning and strengthen their community. Through our Charitable Endowment, Fidelity Bank is pleased to invest in initiatives that create meaningful and lasting benefits for the communities we serve.”

The planned community garden will transform currently unused municipal land adjacent to the basketball courts at Center Fields into a community resource featuring raised garden beds, a year-round learning greenhouse, rainwater collection system, storage shed, pergola, accessible picnic tables and other amenities. Fidelity Bank’s $10,000 contribution will directly support the greenhouse portion of the project.
