Our Executive Management

Chairman & CEO: Edward F. Manzi Jr.


A Webster, Massachusetts native, Ed Manzi graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a B.S. in Accounting. He then earned his M.B.A. with high distinction in 1992 from Bentley College and is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.

Ed held executive management positions at several New England community banks. After serving as the President & CEO of the Shirley Co-operative Bank for seven years, he became President & CEO of Fidelity Bank in July of 1997. Under his leadership the bank has expanded significantly throughout Central Massachusetts, developed the exclusive LifeDesign approach to banking, and significantly broadened the banking business model to include strong and growing Commercial Banking, Mortgage Banking, and Investment & Insurance divisions. In August 2010, Manzi was appointed Chairman of Fidelity Bank.

Ed was inducted into the Worcester Business Journal Business Leaders Hall of Fame and has received awards from the Nashua Valley Council of Boy Scouts in recognition of his distinguished citizenship, Northern Worcester County Association of Realtors, Mount Wachusett Community College, and the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce for his support of the Central Massachusetts community, and the March of Dimes in recognition of his leadership in the Worcester community. In addition, under his leadership, Fidelity Bank was the only bank in Central and Western Massachusetts recognized as one of Forbes “America’s Best Banks in Each State 2022,” in addition to being voted Worcester Telegram & Gazette Best Financial Services in Central Massachusetts and placing six times on the Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work list. Fidelity Bank has also been recognized by North American Energy Efficiency Partnership and the Worcester Business Journal for their “green” building initiatives as well as recognition from American Banker magazine for Innovation in Banking.

In addition to his responsibilities at the Bank, Ed is the Founder and current Director of the Shine Initiative; a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, the Depositors Insurance Fund, the Worcester Research Bureau, the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Care Central Visiting Nurses Association; a member of the Audit Committee for the Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts and the United Way of North Central Massachusetts; Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Co-operative Central Bank; as well as many other Board and civic involvements.
