Awards & Recognition

Fidelity Bank is proud to be honored as a leading bank in our region and recognized as top place to work as part of the Mutual Bancorp family of banks.

Built for Community Means Banking That Puts People First

At Fidelity Bank, client relationships are the foundation of everything we do.

In 2025, we enhanced the way clients experience banking by launching a redesigned website and digital platform built around our C.A.R.E. process to provide clarity, responsiveness, and personalized guidance. We upgraded our Online and Mobile Banking systems to enhance security and improve access and convenience. We introduced new checking solutions tailored specifically for municipalities and nonprofit organizations, expanded access to down payment assistance programs, and continued initiatives like our Lemonade Learning Club, which helped young savers open new Growth Savings accounts this year.

Every product, innovation, and conversation reflects our belief that we are built to serve the unique needs of the people and organizations right here at home.

We celebrated our culture during Colleague Appreciation Week, invested in professional development, and reinforced our shared commitment to C.A.R.E. across every department.

Recognition as a Boston Globe Top Place to Work reflects the environment we strive to cultivate: supportive, collaborative, and purpose-driven. Because when we invest in our colleagues, we strengthen our ability to serve our clients and communities.

Community Impact

“We are grateful to Fidelity Bank for the generous support of our renovation and expansion project as we work to offer a world of learning for our community in a state-of-the-art facility. With their commitment, we can give our community the opportunity to learn, connect and explore in a creative and innovative space.”

Deb Hinkle
Executive Director, Fitchburg Public Library

“Hygiene insecurity is tied to economic hardship, and individuals and families often prioritize other necessities like food and shelter over hygiene products. Through the generosity of Fidelity Bank, we will be able to purchase thousands of products which will provide people across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut with improved health, self-esteem, dignity and confidence.”

Kerry Carter
CEO, Hope and Comfort

“We are in a crisis right now with our funding, especially in our food pantry. As our overall funding has decreased due to budget cuts across the country, this donation comes at such an important time and will allow us to continue offering meals and food to our clients. We are grateful to Fidelity Bank and their employees for selecting our organization with this generous donation as it will go a long way toward helping those who need it most.”

Built for Community Means Showing Up — and Giving Back

Community impact isn’t a program at Fidelity Bank. It’s our purpose.

In 2025, we launched the Fidelity Bank Charitable Endowment to expand our long-term philanthropic commitment. We supported local libraries, food security initiatives, youth development programs, and small business growth through direct sponsorships, grants, and volunteerism. Our team participated in hundreds of community events, delivered thousands of ice creams through the Frosty Flyer, and carried out hundreds of Random Acts of Care across our region. From educational seminars and economic outlook breakfasts to grant funding and nonprofit partnerships, our impact is intentionally hyperlocal — because strong communities are built from within.

News from Mutual Bancorp

President’s Letter

At Fidelity Bank, we believe a true community bank is Built for Community – designed not only to provide financial services, but to strengthen the places we call home.

It has been an honor to step into the role of President and to serve alongside such a dedicated team, building on the strong foundation that has long defined Fidelity Bank. I am grateful for the opportunity to help lead an organization so deeply committed to its clients, colleagues, and communities.

In 2025, our community bank mission guided every decision we made.

This past year marked our first full year operating as part of the Mutual Bancorp family of banks, enabling us to combine our strong heritage with expanded resources and capabilities that enhance how we serve you every day. By integrating shared services with our local community focus, we strengthened our ability to serve clients with greater efficiency while remaining deeply rooted in the neighborhoods we know best.

This structure also allowed Fidelity Bank to maintain financial resilience while delivering meaningful innovation and client value. Last year this included launching a new digital banking experience, introducing refreshed checking account solutions tailored for municipalities and nonprofits, and upgrading core systems that elevate how clients engage with us online and in person.

Our commitment to community impact was equally strong: from supporting local nonprofits and organizations to sponsoring small business initiatives and introducing our Charitable Endowment to further our philanthropic support in the region. We took part in hundreds of community events and hosted key educational programs, reinforcing our role not just as a financial institution, but as a partner in the financial wellbeing and vitality of the region.

This continued progress wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our colleagues, whose passion, commitment, and service mindset propel our mission forward each day. Their work helped Fidelity Bank earn recognition among Forbes’ Best In-State BanksNewsweek’s Best Regional Banks, and Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work, which is a testament to our culture of care and excellence.

As I begin this new chapter as President, I am energized by the opportunity ahead and committed to listening, learning, and leading with purpose. I invite you to explore this Impact Report to learn more about the ways that Fidelity Bank is built for community – our community – and has made a difference for those we serve throughout 2025.

Thank you to our clients, community partners, and colleagues for your trust and collaboration. I look forward to continuing this important work together.

With gratitude,

Sean O’Connell
