A Holiday Message from our CEO
The holiday season is a season of giving. Opportunities to give are everywhere—on television and social media, at our local stores and in our houses of worship.
In our own small worlds, families and friends gather for cookie swaps and Yankee swaps. Co-workers exchange gifts and tokens of appreciation following a year of hard work. In our communities, folks conduct random acts of kindness—shoveling snow for a neighbor or buying coffee for the car behind them in a drive-thru.
At this time of year, people are more likely to donate gently used items rather than discard them. Meanwhile, websites and Facebook pages pop up all over the internet, providing opportunities to donate to causes that touch our hearts—perhaps a GoFundMe page for a family that encountered a tragedy or overwhelming medical bills.
Let’s take a moment to consider the recipients of our gifts. In doing so, we should quietly reflect on the positive impact we are making on “the world that we touch”—and perhaps commit to continuing these gestures throughout all the beautiful seasons we are so blessed to experience here in New England.
So, my New Year’s message in 2022 is to be the good you want to see in the world—your world. It’s a message we try to keep top of mind at Fidelity Bank as we go about our mission of helping clients get where they want to be. I encourage you to use your unique talents and abilities to improve the world that you touch. Imagine the collective impact we can have if each of us resolves to make small acts of kindness a consistent practice.
